Oct. 10, 1957 - TV Row over four year old girl Trumpeter.: Associated Television says that four-year old Helen Crayford, of Green-lane. Broadstairs, Kent, will play a trumpet on commercial television on Saturday. But the London County Council says she can't. Helen is billed to sing and play in Val Parnell's Saturday Spectacular'. ATV said yesterday She will be telerecorded carlier in accordance with regulations about children's live TV appearances. But a London Country Council spokesman said: Under a 1933 Act the employment of children under 13 is illegal. If a film is taken in this country and a child is getting a fee then it is against the law'. Helen's father said he played the firstotes when she was three, Now she knows 45 number'.
