Jan. 01, 1958 - Terry Dene signs the pledge: Photo shows the 19 year old rock n roll singer, Terry Dene, seen at the counter of a Soho coffee bar - sipping milk through a straw and singing the pledge after a Marlborough Street magistrate had fined him for being drunk and disorderly. He put his name to the Band of Hope document premising that he'll never touch alcohol again
