Feb. 02, 1958 - Tommy Steele leaves for south Africa by boat because of the risk of flying since Munich disaster : Tommy Steele has been grounded because his management have decided that because of the Munich air disaster he must not fly to snout Africa for a rock's roll tour but go by sea instead. Tommy left Waterloo this morning on the Winchester castle boat train. The decision means a probable loss in earnings of $ 10, 000 as the tour will be out form a month to two weeks. photo shows Tommy Steele signs autographs for some of his francs who went a long to Waterloo to see him off today
