Dec. 16 Fillming was taking place today at A.T.V. Studios Elstree, of A Matter Of Diamonds, which stars Cliff Richard in his first dramatic television role. It will be screened over the ATV newtwork in the playhouse series of dramas on Monday April 1st. A Mater Of Diamonds co-stars Marian Diamond, as Maggie Brown, and Hollywood actress Evelyn Keyes As Mrs Panzack. The story tells of a young girl, Maggie Brown, staying at a villa near Venice, who has inherited a magnificent diamond necklace. At a neighboring ville lives Mrs Pansack. Also living there is a young man Riley Walker (CLIFF RICHARD). A third partner is a well known member of the underworld. All three are involved in a plot to steal the girls diamond necklace. Riley is instructed to get to know the girl and return with the diamonds. During the time he spends with the girl he realizes that he has fallen in love with her. He is faced with an impossible decision: does he choose the girl and run the risk of being murdered by the gang, or steal the necklace and lose the girl?
