Feb. 29 FOR THE FIRST TIME AN ORGAN IS BUILT IN WEST-GERMANY (BONN) FOR THE GERMAN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC Built in the West, these organ-pipes, shown by JOHANNES KLAIS (picture), will soon be sounded in the East. The well-known organ-builder from Bonn had become the order for the building of two of such instruments for the St. Hedwig cathedral in East-Berlin. It is the first time, that in West-Germany an organ is built for the Eastern part of Germany. With a special grant of the premier of the German Democratic Republic, the Bonn company will place the musical instruments at St. Hedwig, starting from the beginning of May
