1968 - The Hermit Takes a Bride. Herman the leader of the Hermits pop group has, it seems, given up his hermitage. For it was announced today, that Herman (real name Peter Noone) will marry Mireille Strasser, the 22 year old French girl he met at a party a year ago. Everything has happened so quickly that Herman has not yet had time to buy his fiancee an engagement ring - but the wedding date is fixed.
