1959 - Charlie Gracie rehearses for his opening night at the London Hippodrome: Charlie Gracie, the British teenagers newest American song throb, who won world wide fame for his recording of Butterfly early this year, and has followed this with another great success his recording of Faboulous, went along to the London Hippodrome today to rehearse for his opening night tonight. British singer Dorothy Squires walked out of the show after a squabble over her place on the bill. Gracie tops the bill. Photo shows 21 year old Charlie Grace strums on his guitar outside the London Hippodrome this morning
