1966 - John Christian-Dee Has First Pye Record Take Me Along Released This Week: John Christian-Dee, a young American of Sioux Indian and French Canadian descent, who has been contracted to Pye Records as an artiste and A and R man, has his first record for the Pye label released this week, Entitled Take Me Along'. John's racing father came to England to take part in a motor race and brought his family with him./ Tragically his fathe was killed in the race and John moved with his mother and two sisters to Essex where his mother bought a public house. John joined the Army as his ambition was to become a soldier. On leaving the Forces he went to a West End club one evening and get up on the stage to sing. AN agent saw him, was impressed and signed him. After this he appeared in a succession of package tours and during this time began composing.
