Mar. 03, 1960 - Master Violin discovered again: Violinist Bronislav Gimpel ( Bronislav Gimpel) came to visit Stuttgart in order to gethis valuable Carlo Antonio Tononi violin (Catlo Atonio Tononi) back from old-violin expert and violin salesman Fridolin Hamma (Fridolin Hamma). The violin has been stolen on June 2nd, 1958 from the sleeping car of the train going form Paris to Besel. A gipsy had offered Mamma the violin for sale. Hamma got suspicious and was able to keep the gipsy until the identity of the violin was found out. The gipsy is not supposed to have stole the instrument, so the Interpol now searches for the thief. He says to have bought the violin on the Paris Elee market'. The violin has a value of about 10 000 D-Marks. Photo shows the violin in expert Mamma - right - giving the violin to its owner
