Feb. 08, 1960 - The Two Lance Fortunes. 19 year old pop singer Lance Fortune last night angrily complained about 16 year old pop singer Lance Fortune. He said They've called another boy Lance Fortune. That's what it's like in the rock n roll rat race. But they won't finish me that way'. Lance Fortune No 1, former geography student Christopher Morris was appearing at Kingston on Saturday. At the same time Lance Fortune No. 2 - ex Lancashire weaver Clive Powell was appearing in Glasgow. No. 1 is managed by Tom Littlewood, who runs Soho coffee bar where Tommy Steele began. No.2 is under contract to Larry Parnes, who manages Tommy Steele and Mary Wilde. No. 1 said that Mr. Parnes had sent him a letter saying he would take action unless he stopped using the name Lance Fortune. No. 1's manager said Parnes is bluffing. My solicitor is taking steps to see his boy stops using the name. OPS: Lance Fortune No. 1, Christopher Morris, signs autograph for some of his fans
