Oct. 10, 1960 - CONNIE FRANCIS AND THE COCKNEY KIDS.. SHE WILL PAY FOR A HOLIDAY FOR THEM. Pop singer Connie Francis was to be seen at the London Palladium yesterday - with four Cockney children Lorraine Woods (10); Alan (9); Valerie (5) and Yvonne (3) between rehearsals for the Sunday Night TV show. This followed the announcement by her publicity agent that she was to have four cockney children as mascots and that she would kinda adopt one of them.. pay its way... Connie was annoyed at this publicity statement - and said she could do no such thing - for after all she is only 21 and is not married.. Anyway - she says she will be only too happy to help the children - she is going to arrange for the family to have a holiday etc..
