Mar. 03, 1962 - Fledermaus - original script will be auctioned: The original script of the world famous operetta Fledermaus (bat) by Johann Strauss will be auctioned in Munich on May 17th, 1962. The script formerly belonged to the inheritants of Strauss and was given to the state library of Vienna during the war. After the war the script was returned to the inheritants who now took it to Germany. It is estimated to gain a price between 100.000 and 150.000 DM as the whole script is in the handwriting of Strauss. Photo shows the first page of the script
