Sep. 09, 1964 - Lesley Will Be A Part Time Pop Star: American pop star Lesley Gore is giving up full time singing to go to university. Eighteen-year-old Lesley, whose record It's My Party, I'll Cry if i want to, was top of Britain's hit parade, said in London yesterday: Pop has been my hobby and I like it very much. But I also want to be qualified'. Lesley began a British tour yesterday and at the end of this month she will go straight to university near New York. There she will study American history, English literature and trigonometry, and at the English literature and trigonometry, and at the end of a four-year course she hopes to get her Bachelor of Arts degree.
