Dec. 15, 1964 - Judi Wins Search For A Star Contest. Eighteen year old Judi Johnson - was judged as the winner of the Commercial TV contest called Search for a star'. Judi left school to go on the stage - but the nearest she got to fame was when she made a pop record My Baby's Face - which according to Judi - was a complete disaster'.. The contest, which lasted 12 weeks - was between 144 girls aged 16 - 23. Now a television show will be written around Judi - it will cost ?20, 000 - and will last an hour - and - say the experts - after that Judi is On her Own - but there is little doubt - with her lovely looks - she will make the grade.
