Nov. 11, 1964 - Lisa Minnelli Announces Her engagement to Australian - then misses her flight to New York.: Lisa Minelli, the 18 year-old daughter of Judy Garland, has become engaged to 21-year-old Australian entertainer, Peter Alien, of the Allen Brothers, who are managed by Judy. This evening Lisa had booked a flight to New York where she is to appear on Broadway in a new musical - but she arrived too late at London Airport and missed the plane by five minutes.
