Oct. 10, 1967 - Member of the Mamas and Papas Pop group arrested: Cass Elliot, one of the girl singers in the top American pop group the Mamas and Papas, was arrested at Southampton today. The group had arrived from New York with singer Scott Mckenzie. Miss Elliot, 24, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Metropolitan police as she stepped from the liner France, and driven to police headquarters at Southampton.
