May 05, 1970 - Mireille Mathieu the big singer from France came to Berlin, accompanied by her manager Johnny Stark, to make a new single record in German language. The titles of her new songs are Merci Cheri and Meine Welt ist die Musik (Music is my world). Mireille Mathieu will have her film debut in this year still. The title of her first film, under the direction of Peter Hunt, is Big People Little World'. Her partners in this film are Laurence Olivier, Maurice Chevalier, Bourvil and Robert Redford. Mireille plays the role of the oldest of 15 orphans whose adoptive parents have died, so that she has to care for her younger brothers and sisters. She earns the necessary money by singing.
