Jun. 27, 1971 - June 27th, 1971 Hippie Police seize 100 pop fans at a Pop Festival in Reading Detectives in hippie gear searched hundreds of teenagers for drugs at the Reading Pop Festival yesterday. More than 100 fans were arrested. It was estimated that some 20, 000 fans camped out despite the heavy rain.
