Jun. 06, 1970 - Marianne Faithfull fined £500: Marianne Faithful told a Customs Officer at Heathrow Airport on Christmas Eve that duty had been paid on a previous occasion on a mink coat she was carrying in her luggage it was alleged at Uxbridge today. The 23 year old pop singer and actress was fined a total of £500 after admitting trying evade Customs duty on a three quarter length ranch mink coat and making a false declaration to a Customs officer. She was summoned under her married name of Marianne Evelyn Dunbar.
