Aug. 31, 1971 - At the end of the Weeley Pop Festival: An estimated 140, 000 people flocked to the 200-acre site at the Essex village of Weeley. They left hundreds of tons of rubbish which was being cleared by the organisers, members of Clacton Round Table. Photo shows the vast pop audience has left and the grass can be seen again through the hundreds of tons of rubbish which was being removed yesterday to enable the Essex village of Weeley to return to normal
