He was born in Linz/Danube (Austria) in 1891 and there as in Graz he enters as actor, before he, from 1915 on, made career as a lyrical tenor - especially in Lehar - operettas - which began in Berlin, Vienna and Munchi. At least Richard Tauber was one of the most honoured singers in the world. In 1933 he emigrated to London
