Bands - Composers - Instruments - Musicians

Sep. 09, 1981 - 105 alphorn players on Swiss mountain-top.: Alphorn players met on the Pilatus, a famous tourist mountain above Lucerne, for the biggest concert of this traditional alpine instrument ever organised. A main attraction of this open-country meeting was the biggest alphorn that has ever been constructed: length 18-32 meter, weight 50 kilograms. Pretty good lungs are required to play this instrument
