Apr. 28, 1980 - During a gala given at the Champs-Elysees Theater in Paris for the benefit of the Pasteur and Weizmann Institutes, which are both involved in the fight against cancer, a public homage was given on stage for Arthur Rubinstein. The famous pianist received a diploma of honor from the Pasteur-Weizmann Council from the hands of Mr. Simone Veil, President of the European Parlement. Arthur Rubinstein, at 93 years old, is pictured sitting in a wheel chair
