Dec. 12, 1964 - Bank for women only - opened in Edinburgh. Looking more like a club or a restaurant than a bank - is the bank which opened in Edinburgh yesterday. It is the first of its kind in Britain - and is for women only. The atmosphere in the bank is blissful - and quite subdued'. The carpeting is thick - the lighting is soft - the wallpaper is white and gold. There is background music and free coffee. In spite of this - the rest of the business is just the same as any other bank - it is just as difficult to get a loan - etc
