Oct. 10, 1970 - New acquisition of the Bavarian National Museum, Munich; By funds of friends, the Bavarian National Museum in Munich could add to its collection 2 lead groups of Baroque angels from Aegid Verhelst (Antwerp 1696 - Augsburg 1749), presenting the seasons - an important work of the Munich court sculptor Willem de Groff who had been trained in Paris. Both groups, belonging to some of Munich's few preserved lead sculptures of this time, will be exhibited for the first time at the 15th German antique fair in Munich.
