1967 - A demonstration of electric vehicles in London: A demonstration of electric vehicles, organised by the Institute of Electrical Engineers, took place at the Shell Centre in London yesterday. Photo shows a prototype electric car by Tube Investments which has a range of 50 miles on one battery charge at an average speed of 25 mph is demonstrated along with two Winn City Bikes, which are powered by two 6-volt batteries
