Sep. 19, 1965 - Battle Of Britain Service At Westminster Abbey Attended By The Queen And Duke Of Edinburgh: The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh attended the Battle of Britain Thanksgiving service in Westminster Abbey this morning, after the service the Queen Unveiled a Commemorative Tablet to Sir Winston Churchill at the West end of the Abbey Lady Spencer-Churchill and other members of the Churchill family attended. And after the unveiling the Queen meet 20 of the Battle of Britain Pilots who flew into battle 25, years ago.
