BBC to televise from House of Lords, Westminster, London

Feb. 03, 1968 - Peers To Face The Cameras: Work started today to prepare the House of Lords for the three day TV and radio broadcasting experiment on Tuesday. Commentary boxes and cameras are being installed in the Chamber under the gallery opposite the Throne. The experiment will be on closed-circuit. But during the following week, on February 13, 14 and 15, an edited television programme by both the BBC and ITV shown. Each programme will last 55 minutes and will be shown on BBC and ITV on Alternate nights. Photo shows Three cameras seen in the House of Lords looking towards the Throne ready for the close-circuit
