Bearers of the Ritterkreuz, Knight's Cross, Ratisbon
Oct. 10, 1959 - Bearers of the Ritterkreuz (Knight's Cross) meet in Ratisbon : The Association of bearers of the Ritterkreuz held their meeting this year on October 24/25th in Ratisbon, Germany. A climax of this meeting, a speech by German Minister of Defence, Franz Josef Strauss, had to be cancelled because the Minister had to attend to other duties - The members of the association put down wreaths for the 2000 bearers of the Ritterkreuz, killed during World War II.
