The Beatles appear at Shea Stadium, New York, USA

Aug. 15, 1965 - New York, NY, U.S. - Never before have entertainers used a stadium which normally holds 60, 000 plus sports fans, but when the BEATLES went to tour America only the largest stage available would do, so they hired the Shea Stadium in New York. There the famous four met their audience, shrieking waving ecstatic mob of boys and girls and some not so young came to pay homage to the greatest of the pop singers
