Aug. 08, 1966 - Never before have entertainers used a stadium which normally holds 60, 000 plus sports fans, but when the Beatles went to America only the largest stage available would do, so they rented the Shea stadium, New York. And they filled it right up to every available seat. There the famous four meet their audience - a howling, shrieking waving ecstatic mob of boys and girls and some not so young came to pay homage to the greatest of the pop singers
