Jun. 06, 1964 - The Beatles in Denmark: Three Beatles and Ringo's substitute Jimmie Nicol hold a special cake given to them on arrival at the Hotel Royal in Copenhagen this week. Six thousand fans had gone to the airport to welcome the group. Thursday, June 4th The Beatles arrived in Copenhagen Airport where 600 people-the biggest number that ever has been gathered in the airport-were waiting to see their idols. Police with dogs kept the crowds behind the fences. From the airport the three Beatles and Ringo's substitute, Jimmie Nicol, drove to the Hotel Royal. the Beatles gave two concerts same night. photo shows We have baked a cake for you was the welcome hotel Royal gave to The Beatles
