Apr 11, 1974 - London, England, United Kingdom - Miss Pears has come of age and a celebration party was held today at the Arts Club on Dover Street in London, to celebrate its 21st anniversary. All the former Miss Pear, ages ranging from 4-24 were present at the party. From the early 20th century Pears was famous for the annual Miss Pears competition in which parents entered their children into the high-profile hunt for a young brand ambassador to be used on packaging and in consumer promotions.
