History was made at London Airport today after a Super VC10took off for New York, carrying and entire British fashion show, a suedewear and leatherwear show, with 16 manufacturers, their sales teams, 6 top London couture models and the collections of fashioner, approximately 500 suede and leather styles, coats, suits, apres ski, evening wear, leisurewear and sportswear. This jet-packaged fashion show, organized by LEFEX, the British Leather Fashionwear Export Group is a double-first, the first time the British fashion industry has shown collectively in the United States and the first airlift of a complete show to America.
