Feb. 26 Tattooing her way to Fame. What starting out to be a delightful skull and crossbones tattooed on an arm is now an entry in the Guinness Book of Records, and the lady behind the clam is Janet Rusty Field, who is the country's most tattooed lady. Ten years ago when she had just left the Womans Army, Rusty decided to take up a dare and have the decorative designs engraved into her skin and now her body is almost totally covered with more than 2, 500 tattoos. Now a full time tattoo artist herself, she works with Bill Skuse at their Aldershort studio. Rusty does about 60 designs per week, mostly for men, and says that only the odd woman wents a tattoo done. And they must have their husband's permission, she says. Rusty's favourite story is of the big burly parachute sergeant who had a nude of his wife done on his body, but was told b her to go back and have a bikini put on. Photo Shows Rusty adds to her leg while Bill Skuse designs on her back
