Dec. 12, 1958 - Mrs. Ward prepares for the Charity Winter Ball to be held in Paris.: One of the many socialites who will attend the Winter Ball - to be held in Paris this evening in aid of charity - will be Mrs. John Ward, champion of the wigs-for-evening wear movement in London. She will arrive at the ball with a fantastic feathered mask on a stick - behind which she will shelter when she enters the ballroom. The masque measures 4ft. x 3ft. and is swathed with 2, 000 green and black cock's feathers - and Mrs. Ward;s hair will be swathed with a matching plumage.
