May 05, 1966 - Introducing the bang-snap-clatter dress, you need pliers to keep it intact It the bang-snap-clatter dress and when she walks she rattles. This evening dress is made from about 600 plastic discs wired together and is for sale at 150 guineas which works out at roughly 7 shilings and sixpence apiece. Selfridges, the Oxford-street store have the dress on sale. In fast they have three, and one has already been sold and shipped to America. So the girld who buys the rattly disc dress for disco dancing will be unique. The dress was designed in Paris by the plastic man of the moment, Paco Rabanne. Icelandic model, Thelma wore the dress yesterday but ran into trouble when she made a quick move. The dress came unwired, shedding discs in all directions. But she was armed against such an occasion, sh was armed with a little pair of pliers in her handbag for running repairs.
