Jan. 01, 1969 - How Many Paperclips Make A Mini-Shimmy Dress?: 24-year old Barbara Smith, former Miss Britain and now a TV and film actress, knows how many thousands - she has to wear it! - but visitors to Statinex 69, the stationery industry's exhibition which opens at Olympia tomorrow (Jan 27) - will be asked to judge the number for a competition held in conjunction with the exhibition. The dress - the miniest shimmy to grace the 1920's - is a cascade of paperclip chains topping a silver sheath. Barbara lives at Woodford Green, Essex.
