Nov. 11, 1967 - Miss Peru wins the Miss World title then Faints: Miss Peru, 21 year old Madeleine Hartog Bel, last night became Miss World. And a few minutes after being crowned at the Lyceum, London, she fainted on the stage. She was revived with smelling salts. The runner up was Miss Argentine, with Miss Guyana, third.
