Feb. 20, 1968 - Miss Mini-Skirt of Greece. Aged 18 and a model, Miss Dessy Tsinou has arrived in London from Athens on a week's trip to Britain - part of her prize for winning the Miss Mini-skirt of Greece contest at a wine festival just outside Athens last September. Already one of Greece's leading models, though just out of school, she has already worked for leading local and international designers both in Athens and Rome. Her visit to London is intended mainly to be social but she hopes that through it her ambition to be an international model will be given a useful start. Dessy hopes to buy as many new clothes as I can during my visit - they are so wonderfully styled and cheap as well, and later in the week she will be visiting the British Group of Fashion Exporters Showrooms to select additional dresses before her return home. Besides winning the Miss Mini-Skirt title, she has won the Miss Beach contest at Salonika and hopes when her many fashion commitments allow, to have a crack at the Miss Greece title and then take part in one of the world wide title contests.
