1967 - Jayne Mansfield Visits House of Commons: Jayne Mansfield, the American star, visited the House of Commons yesterday and brought the proceedings to a halt while the speaker called for order. Jayne sat in the seat usually used by the Prime Minister's wife. She were a low cut blouse and mini-skirt - the most conservative I've got. Miss Mansfield was the guest of two Conservative Whips, Mr. Timothy Kitson (Richmond, Yorks), and Mr. Robet Elliott (Newcastle, North). When I went into the Speaker's Gallery, she said, lot of heads turned and gave me smiles. It was then that the Speaker called for order because the buzz of conversation drowned answers to Defence Ministry Questions.
