Feb. 02, 1976 - Suzanne Beasant is the Golden Slimmer of the year after a weight loss of 7-stone 12lb in 11 months: From seven regional finalists in the Golden Slimmer of the year contest, organised by the Silhouette Slimming Club of Great Britain, Suzanne Beasant, 31, of Marlborough, Wiltshire, was judged the winner in the final of the contest at the Savoy Hotel, London, today. Suzanne's weight on entry was 17-stone 8lb and her measurements were 48-38-52. Now, after a period of 11 months her final weight is 9-stone 4lb, a total weight loss of 7-stone 12lb, and her measurements to date are 35-26-35. Photo shows TV star Simon Williams of the TV series Upstairs Downstairs fame, who was one of the judges, makes no problem of lifting 9-stone, 4lb Miss Suzanne Beasant in his arms after she had won the title of Golden Slimmer of the year contest today
