Feb. 02, 1974 - Beauties gather in Tokyo for Miss Young International contest: Beauty queens representing 44 nations have arrived in Tokyo to take part in the Miss Young International Contest which commences on August 9. Prior to the preliminaries the girls had a dip in a hotel swimming pool near Tokyo Tower, and attended a reception wearing their national costumes to say a few words to the guests in their native languages. There was a moving scene when Miss Greece met Miss Turk, which ended happily with a few tears and kisses, as they hugged each other.
