Bebawi couple on trial for murder of Farouk Chourbagi
Jan. 01, 1965 - Gabrielle "Claire" Bebawi, wife of Youssef Bebawi, the two Egyptians who are charged with the murder of Farouk Chourbagi, the 27 year old Egyptian businessman who was found killed in his flat in Rome on 20 January 1964, were this morning in the dock of the Palace of Justice in Rome. Farouk Chourbagi was killed by four gunshots and his face was disfigured by vitriol. The couple were arrested in Athens and taken to Italy for trial
