Oct. 10, 1962 - London Sees The Festival of Misfits The Festival of Misfits, the first exhibition in Britain of a crazy avant-garde art movement which has swept America, France and Germany, opened at Gallery One, Mayfair. Its nine exponents in this exhibition, a group of cosmopolitan all-sorts, believe that art must be participated in to be appreciated. Picture Shows: Ben Vauthier, who originates from Nice, will live in a cage behind the window of the gallery for two weeks. He is seen in his quarters. I am living sculpture, he says, People can take part in my life
