Aug. 17, 1953 - 17-8-53 U.S. Synchronized Swimming Champion here Beulah Gundling, solo synchronized swimming champion of the U.S.A. who gave daily demonstrations at the Olympic Games in Helsinki last year, and a request performance for the Duke of Edinburgh has arrived in London, at the invitation of the Amateur Swimming Association, for a three-weeks tour, which opens at Clacton tomorrow. Synchronized swimming aims, by movements and costume, at interpreting the themes of musical accompaniments ranging from jazz to the classics.
