Dec. 15, 1953 - The Miracle of the Madonna: In a modest little room at Piana degli Albanesi, Palermo (Sicily), hangs a painting of the Madonna, by Beito, which has become the center of pilgrimage by local inhabitants. It is said that the finger shown in the painting started to move and also the eyes, and was first noticed by one of the daughters of the farmer who owns the house. Photo Shows Farmer Vincenzo Matranga, the owner of the house, seen with two of his daughters. In center is Virginia the one that first noticed the miracle of the painting
