Nov. 11, 1955 - Nun Sues Cardinal Griffin And Others - Alleges False Imprisonment: Miss Margaret McCann, 54 year old Nun who became a member of the Sisters of Nazareth in 1924 - claimed damages in the Queen's Bench alleging false imprisonment - saying that she was looked up in a mental home when there was no justification for suggesting that she had an unsoundness of mind. Included in those accused is Cardinal Griffin - Archbishop of Westminster and Mother Plascidus - Superior of the Order of the sisters of Nazareth.
