Jun. 06, 1956 - Banished Greek priest arrives in Athens: A priest of the Greek Orthodox Church in London was deported early yesterday, it was stated last night, because his activities went beyond any legitimate ecclesiastical duties and were not in the public interest'. The priest was Archimendrite Kail in Ikos Macheriotis, 48, of all Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Pratt Street, Camden Town. He was taken to London Airport and put in an airliner that left for Athens. Documents found in his London home last night show that the Greek priest was linked with an Eoka gang leader in Soho.
