Bible - Cardinals - Churches - Monks - Nuns

Mar. 03, 1959 - Colelction of horse shoes on a church door: The heavy oak-doors of thr more than a thousand years old st. Gangolf of Neudenau upon Jagst/Germany have rather unusual decoration: hundreds of horse shoes. One can see horse shoes of the Middle Ages, of the horses of the Swedish army, Russian and Turkish horse shoes next to those of tournament horses of the latest past. Next to the chapel - and that is the reason for the unusual decoration - there is a fountain the water of which has a still undiscovered healing effect on certain horse illnesses. Even with hopelessly sick horses, the strange water could help. And the tradition is that of every cured horse the shoe is to be nailed on to the chursh door.
